Be a Superhero – Adopt from Foster Care – Let It Be Us Finding Forever Families

Children in Illinois seeking foster and adoptive parents – all ages, stages and ethnicities. Learn about the children who are waiting and learn about the possibilities. Anyone can be a foster parent and/or adopt from foster care as these programs do not discriminate against age, income, marital status, gender or sexual orientation.
Speakers will include adoption recruiters and case workers from three Chicago area agencies specializing in foster care and adoption from foster care as well as adoptive parents who will share their stories. This is a town hall style event and there will be time for questions and answers.
With special guest speaker Dr. Paula Kienberger Jaudes, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Chiago and the Medical Director for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
Whether you have a foster care license or not, this is a great place or start or continue your foster care and adoption journey.
Adoption from foster care does not discriminate against race, religion, income, marital status or sexual orientation. And adoption from foster care is free of charge.
At this event you will see the Illinois Heart Gallery – a photography exhibit of children available for adoption created by professional photographers from Illinois.
This event is open to the public and free of charge. Children and families are welcome. There will be a craft table for children.
