Zool Suleman: Proposed Canada Citizenship Act Changes. Easier to get, harder to loseThe previous Harper Government had made changes to the Canadian Citizenship Act which made it “harder to get, easier to lose”. Bill C-24 was criticized for extending qualifying times, harder exam rules, and stripping dual nationals of citizenship for public interest reasons.

The new Trudeau Government has proposed a variety of changes to soften the harshest aspects of Bill C-24.
