A reception is being hosted to recognize and honour the generous support of the Imran Jaffer Foundation for Western University, at which time a student award, internship and special plaque in memory of Imran will be announced. The reception will be held on Saturday, March 19 at 1:00 pm in room 3036 of the Social Sciences Center at Western University.
Imran Jaffer was known for his unwavering love for his family and friends, strong leadership, and his uncanny ability to bring a positive perspective to every person in any situation. He lit every room he entered with his beautiful smile and infectious laughter and radiated energy that brought happiness all around. His zest for life endeared him to all who were fortunate enough to have met him.
As a respected leader, loyal friend and beloved classmate, Imran touched many lives during his time at Bayview Glen and Western University. Imran chose Western for its highly regarded Business and Urban Development programs. He was an incredibly well-rounded student, advancing his academic studies while balancing his volunteer work with MEDLIFE in London and the Aga Khan Volunteer Corps in Toronto as well as his participation in Western’s intramural soccer teams and his active participation in the Cancer Awareness Society for fundraising.
Imran passed away suddenly and tragically on Sunday, August 10th, 2014 in Guelph, Ontario at the age of 19.
