Natasha and Alisha Nanji, twin sisters, started a nonprofit organization called Exploring Horizons, after witnessing senior neglect whilst volunteering at seniors’ homes. The organization hosts monthly sessions involving fun and mentally challenging activities and presentations to engage senior citizens and to bridge the inter-generational gap between seniors and youth. The organization has been featured on Rogers TV, invited to speak at Youth Philanthropy’s annual conference in Toronto, and featured in newspapers such as The Uxbridge Cosmos. In addition, Exploring Horizons was nominated for the 2014 Ontario Junior Citizen of the Year, and recently released a video titled Bridging the Age Gap, which can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poPuMyhqjh4&feature=youtu.be.
