On March 2, 2015 in front of a packed audience of 2,500 at Calgary’s Jack Singer Concert Hall, Stuart McLean recorded CBC Radio’s hit show Vinyl Cafe, wherein he spoke about Canada, Calgary and the Ismailis.
He specifically spoke about what makes this country and this city special, highlighting the first Muslim mayor of any major city in the West, Naheed Nenshi, as one example, and the Ismaili community’s 2014 Stampede “Break-the-fast” as a second.
The recording aired on April 18, 2015.
