Friends and family of the late Ruhila Adatia-Sood launched a foundation for the protection of animals at the Zen gardens in Nairobi on Saturday Night.
Ruhila Adatia-Sood lost her life on September 21 last year on assignment when terrorists attacked and indiscriminately killed innocent civilians at the Westgate Mall in Nairobi. She was a popular radio and TV presenter with East FM, Kiss 100 and Kiss TV at the time of her untimely death.
The foundation launched was meant to honour and commemorate Ruhila’s passion for protecting animals with an emphasis on pets. It will be providing monthly contributions to cater for the food of the rescued pets and veterinary services.
Ruhila’s in-laws Pradeep Sood, Neena Sood, as well as her widower Ketan Sood, animal Welfare director at KSPCA Jean Gilchrist and Ruhila’s father Shamsher Adatia were present at the launch.
