Gulabuddin Sukhanwar; published poet and writer
Afghanistan – ingen fred å få, (There is no peace to get in Afghanistan) is a factual book written by Elisabeth Eide and Terje Skaufjord, well-known Norwegian writers and analysts who have decades of experience working with Afghanistan´s issues.
In April 2014 I was invited by the Norwegian Committee for Afghanistan to attend the Oslo book launch for ‘No Peace to Get’, but unfortunately I was unable to attend.
However, I was very keen to read this important publication so the next day I asked the Vadsø library for the English version, as at that time my Norwegian language skills were not good enough to read it in its original form. Frustratingly, it had not yet been translated to English at that point. I am happy to report that now, after many months studying my host country´s language; I am able to read the Norwegian version.
Inaccurate representation of Ismaili people
One criticism I have is that, as an Ismaili, I found the information provided about minority groups not only too limited but also inaccurate in its interpretation of our beliefs. “Minorities especially about the Ismailis ”; Ref 1
