At the Saving Every Woman, Every Child summit held in Toronto, Canada last month, Dr. Jim Yong Kim, president of the World Bank Group asserted, “We stand today on a critical threshold for global health and development. While we can absolutely point to progress, we know that it has been uneven. Too many women and children are still dying because they lack access to quality health care…”

This view was echoed by the summit’s high profile delegates which included United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, World Health Organization President Dr. Margaret Chan, His Highness the Aga Khan, and Melinda Gates.

  1. The idea behind very child mortality rate in underdeveloped countries are five time higher than developed countries . The basic reason behind all related issues to be address is poverty and alleviation of poverty
    in our sub continent and other African countries which are gradually come down with passage of continuity of grants and Donations from the Developed and advanced countries. The main challenges our economy is un stable government with grab all the rights of poor people of working classes /masses. I am very optimistic but I will foresee that these changes are not radically happen in near future but it takes to come for a long time and it takes generations to next generations and decades to decades come for improvement.
