
Samira R. Noorali has been writing poetry and studying music since elementary school. In 2006, she graduated from University of Houston with a Bachelor’s Degree in English (concentration in Creative Writing) and Psychology. She then earned a J.D. from Pacific McGeorge School of Law in 2009 after having won top awards for appellate writing and oral advocacy. Immediately after graduating law school, she moved to Houston, TX where she began to rediscover to her artistic roots.
Noorali founded a youth, new-music ensemble and served as its director, music composition teacher and lyric-writing mentor for nearly two years. Around the same time, she began compiling her poems into a book called, “A Simple Rebirth,” which contains 38 illustrated poems that present a survival narrative when read in sequence. At this time, Noorali is touring to promote “A Simple Rebirth,” writing a short story collection and working on a novel.
