Sheherazade Hirji has worked in the philanthropic sector for the past 20 years. Her work experiences include the Donner Canadian Foundation, Max Bell Foundation, and Aga Khan Foundation Canada. At the Ontario Trillium Foundation between 1989 and 1999, she held a variety of positions including Director of Learning and Evaluation, Vice President of Grants, and Acting CEO. Most recently, she was the Executive Director of the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, where she helped transform the company’s charitable impulse into a national community investment strategy in support of shelters serving women and children fleeing violence.
