Offered by AKU-ISMC and the Centre for the Comparative Study of Muslim Societies and Cultures (CCSMSC) at Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, the Summer Programme is ideal for those seeking a comprehensive and interactive contemporary introduction to Muslim cultures. The underlying principle of the Programme is that education about cultures is a necessary precursor to the enhancement of intercultural dialogue. To this end, Programme participants will engage with wide-ranging topics such as arts and architecture, civil society, ethics, law, literature, mysticism and Qur’anic studies.

From SFU News review: The program is from SFU’s Centre for the Comparative Study of Muslim Societies and Cultures. It offered the summer program with AKU at SFU last year. Four SFU faculty members, including Centre director Derryl MacLean, will be participating this summer, and the aim is to have it back at SFU next year.
