There will be a basic CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training class starting on Sunday, December 21, 2008. The class will run for three consecutive Sundays (12/21, 12/28 and 01/04) from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a 1 hour lunch break. The location for the class is Ismaili Jamatkhana, 14270 Carlson Circle. There will be approximately 15 spots open to the general public.

The purpose of the course is to provide citizens with the basic skills needed during a major disaster. This training will allow graduates to respond to the immediate needs of their community in the aftermath of a major disaster – the time when emergency services may not be immediately available.
