Mawlana Hazar Imam and members of the Noorani Family were received at the Ottawa Airport by Minister Jason Kenney on Friday December 5th 2008. They were in Ottawa for the inaugural of the Delegation of the Ismaili Imamat the following day.
Office of the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration, and Multiculturalism of Canada
Great respect by the Minister in receiving both Mawlana Hazar Imam and Prince Rahim.
Generally when meeting members of (any) Royal Family, many people observe traditional codes of behaviour or etiquette. Men will give a neck bow whilst women do a small curtsy.
Honourable Jason Kenney, as seen above, has followed this “classy” traditional code of behaviour.

The Honourable Jason Kenney has shown great dignity and elegance to the Aga Khan, who is the Spirtual leader of Ismaili Muslims.
It is a great honour to be a “proud” Ismaili Canadian today to observe the Minister who has shown his utmost respect to our Beloved Hazer Imam during His visit to Canada.
Even Hazer Imam acknowledged this gratitude during his speech stating that “I am very grateful to the Gov’t. Of Canada to allow my Ismaili Murids to travel to Canada from 36 different countries, which gives me real joy and happiness”.
Thank you Canada.

Imam, the oracle of true Islamic peace and a paragon of supreme ethical values has proved to the world that the elements of peace, humility, selfless service to mankind, tolerence and respect for all faiths go a long way in earning the respect of your fellow beings.
As a matter of fact these have been the cneterpiece of his Hidaya since his ascension to the the Imamat.
I hope we all will benefit from the role model of Islam.
