Aga Khan Foundation donates scholastic materials

Agha Khan Foundation has donated scholastic materials worth sh40m to UPE schools and primary teacher training colleges. The foundation representative, Hajat Amina Ssekibembe, said last week that the project was being implemented in the districts of Wakiso, Kampala, Mityana and Masaka. The aim, she said, was to improve the quality of education in UPE schools through the establishment of school resource centres. The Masaka centre coordinator, George Ssemaganda, said about 40 schools would benefit.
