Vancouver Ismaili youth put their ethics in action on Sunday, June 1st as they partnerned with The Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation in helping to prepare sites and plant 50 fruit trees at New Brighton Park. Commissioner Allan De Genova planted the first tree with the Ismaili Youth.

In the spirit of service, the CIVIC program, which stands for “Challenging Ismaili Volunteers In Communities”, has been introduced as a Golden Jubilee youth initiative that will allow youth between the ages of 13 to 25 to become “ambassadors” for the spirit of voluntary service. The CIVIC program provides experiential learning opportunities to allow youth to contribute to the betterment of the societies within which they live.
