Private space explorer to speak at luncheon
The Aga Khan Foundation USA will hold its corporate leadership luncheon at 11:30 a.m. today at the Hotel Intercontinental, 15201 Dallas Parkway in Addison. The luncheon is a kickoff event for the 2007 Dallas Partnership Walk, which will be Oct. 14 in downtown Dallas. The keynote speaker will be Anousheh Ansari, the first female and fourth-ever private space explorer, as well as the first astronaut of Iranian descent.
Dr. Mona Khanna, an ABC medical contributor, will serve as host. Among the expected guests will be University of North Texas president Gretchen Bataille, Carrollton Mayor Becky Miller, Addison Mayor Joe Chow and EDS chairman Michael Jordan.
