salima_valji.jpgSalima Valji drives the vision, strategy and success metrics for Microsoft.ca. She manages a multi-disciplinary team to develop and execute web campaigns that drive demand and lead generation for Microsoft’s products and services. This has resulted in increased CTR, and decreased email marketing costs achieved by decreasing bounce backs and increasing open rates by 3 – 20 %.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Salima was the eMarketing Manager at La Senza responsible for driving the eMarketing strategy. As a result of Salima’s ingenuity, La Senza was able to grow its email marketing database by more than 500%, resulting in increased sales and brand awareness. Combining her web, fashion and shopping savvy, Salima produced La Senza’s first ever online fashion shows where lingerie fans were able to buy merchandise literally right off the models as they walked down the virtual runway. Previously, Salima worked at Deloitte Consulting where she lead the customer experience and design of the State of California portal and Yourdoctor.com – a healthcare start up. In addition, as an IT strategy consultant she published an IT Transformation Case Study in North America’s Energy Information Technology trade publication recognized as best practice by clients.

In her spare time, Salima volunteers at Kids.Now as a leadership coach for 7th and 8th grade students.
