On Wednesday, 3 December 2025, Mawlana Hazar Imam arrived in Lisbon, Portugal to begin a three-day visit to meet with the Jamats of Portugal and Spain.
Mawlana Hazar Imam was received by Ambassador Francisco Vaz Patto, Head of State Protocol; Prof. Francisco Proença Garcia, Chairman of the Portuguese Delegation to the Seat Agreement Joint Committee; Yasmin Bhudarally, President of the Ismaili Council for Portugal; and Nazim Ahmad, Diplomatic Representative of the Ismaili Imamat to Portugal. A delegation of leaders were also present to welcome Hazar Imam on behalf of the Jamats of Portugal and Spain.
