Ali Tejpar: Ottawa City Mayor’s Builder Award

Ottawa, Ontario, December 12, 2018: Mayor Jim Watson (Mayor of City of Ottawa) and Rideau-Vanier Councillor Mathieu Fleury presented the Mayor’s City Builder Award to Ali Tejpar, at the start of the City Council meeting on December 12, 2018.

Ali Tejpar holds a Juris Doctor/Master of Arts dual-degree (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) at Carleton University. Ali also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours with Distinction) in Global Development from Queen’s University, where he ranked first in his graduating class and was awarded the Queen’s University Academic Medal.

The Mayor’s City Builder Award is a civic honour created to recognize an individual, group or organization that, through outstanding volunteerism or exemplary action, has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to making our city a better place today and for the future. This may include lifelong service, outstanding acts of kindness, inspiring charitable work, community building or other exemplary achievements.
