Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)  had said “Seek Knowledge even as far as China “ and much the same thought was uttered by former President of USA, Woodrow Wilson when he said “I not only use all the brains I have, but all I can borrow.” Knowledge is increasing at a much faster pace, and both Adnan and Sarosha had a vision to help online businesses make the most of their websites without the need for coding or design expertise. They learnt from engineers at Google that the process of testing different colours, fonts and designs was extremely difficult and wanted to use Artificial Intelligence to solve it. They combined these two goals to create Aiva Labs, a software solution that could help small businesses with their website engagement while using their data to automatically improve marketing campaigns for agencies and brands.

Adnan was enrolled in a co-op program and his experiences taught him the intricacies behind developing an enterprise level product and the problems with software products built by consultant firms. Often times, these products were built poorly and required constant maintenance and support, which was inefficient for businesses. Sarosha first became involved in Adnan’s first startup, focused on medical technology due to her interest in Life Sciences and Medicine. After being told by Google mentors to pivot to a different use-case of their technology, Sarosha became passionate about helping businesses everywhere by leveraging the power of psychology. She started working alongside several McMaster University professors to publish papers on how users behave on websites and the psychological factors that play a role in the decisions they make.

Aiva Labs has been thriving since its inception. The platform already has hundreds of users and is generating revenue even before commercially launching. Companies globally are benefitting from their web-platform which allows anyone to easily collect leads, engage social media followers, collect feedback, promote events & videos as well as create splash pages. Their system is already starting to learn about what designs engage customers and increase sales. Soon, Aiva will be able to automatically design and test campaigns on the fly, based on user behavior. This will eliminate the guess and check method marketers currently use saving them time and money.

Recently, their hard work has started paying off, especially with their grand prize win at the Lions Lair 2017 competition. Adnan and Sarosha’s company was awarded with $79,000 of prizes at a Gala located at Carmen’s Banquet Hall.
