  1. It is heartening to note that UN has bestowed UN Foundation global change award.
His relentless work in engaging with world leaders either in reducing tension between the Muslim world and the non Muslim world.
In poverty elevation through education and health.
In improving quality of life in the developing nations.
Greetings to all in the Muslim world. They truly have a benevolent personality who has dedicated 60 years of his life and continues to do so.
    Congrats

  2. Congratulations/Mubaraki. Another award for HH Aga Khan for his Diamond Jubilee of being the Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims. Hope the citation mentions that because that is what these awards to HHAK this year are for, starting with the Most Excellent Order of Pearl of Africa award (in the form of a gold chain and shash) by President Museveni on Uganda’s Golden Jubilee + 5th anniversary day, October 9, 2017. It is Uganda’s highest medal, normally given to Heads of States, until now 5 only, including President Nyerere posthumously. I also think this is the highest national medal conferred on HHAK. Not many people even now these details.
Why did UNSG call HHAK his personal friend? Well, they are. It was SG Guterres as a previous Prime Minister of Portugal who activated the Imamat’s HQ move to Portugal and gave the office diplomatic status. B. SG Guterres is very aware his predecessor as head of UNHCR was Prince Sadruddin Aga Khan. (SG Guterres was UNHCR head for two terms until 2016.) Kofi Annan probably too called HHAK a friend, as he is on the board of HHAK’s Global Centre for Pluralism.
    Mubaraki all round. Sherbet days.
