On Oct. 14, scores of DFW residents will move to invest in long-term solutions to improve the quality of life for communities worldwide. The annual Aga Khan Foundation Walk | Run – Dallas will be held at Frisco Square. As an initiative of the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), the event raises awareness and funds for programs that mobilize communities around the world to build better futures.
The charity event attracts high-level corporate executives, civic leaders, and celebrities. Last year, the foundation’s events raised $13.5 million to end poverty and organizers expect this year’s event to be even more successful, given enthusiasm from participants and sponsors across the metro area including national sponsor, The Coca-Cola Company. One hundred percent of net proceeds from the Walk | Run go directly to projects supported by the Aga Khan Foundation in Asia and Africa.
