Saeeda’s journey: The Patients’ Behbud (Welfare) Society of Aga Khan University Hospital

Saeeda lived in Turbat, Balochistan. When she fell ill and was diagnosed with cancer, her husband left her and her three sons. Her family in Karachi took her under their wing and brought her to AKUH. Here, the doctors and welfare officers continued to support her, even when she could no longer afford chemotherapy or surgery. She is finally recovered and ready to go home.
