In Yusuf Hirji’s 19 years, he touched more people than most do in a lifetime.
Thousands recently honoured the Pickering teenager’s life, days after he died of cancer on April 9.
“It was just so heartwarming to see,” says his mother, Shyrin Hirji.
At 16, Yusuf was a Pine Ridge Secondary School student with serious soccer ambitions when he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, the bone cancer Terry Fox had.
