Karimabad Bharat Scouts, Mumbai, celebrates its Centennial

History

The Karimabad Bharat Scouts Group (KBS) was born in the year 1915, as a Kandi Mohalla Scouts Group, to promote and protect the interest of community and to enhance service to state and nation.

The founder member of KBS, Mr. Rutabali was a visionary who initiated the commencement of the scouts group, keeping in mind that a youngster should be a self sufficient with an ability to take up any challenges of this world without giving up and handle it with a smiling face.

Since its 97th year of its existence the Karimabad Bharat Scouts Group had played an active role in All India Ismaili’s Scouts & Guides activities arena. It had also build a strategic alliances and established networking with local and all India scouts & guides group and affiliates forging ties to develop The interest of scouting activities. Group regulary organizes gatherings , camps, outings, adventure camps / trips, hiking programs and also participates At various levels viz: District Association and community for the benefit of its members and keeping the lamp burning of scouting movement at large.

Encouraged by favorable conditions the KBS is now actively promoting KBS as an epicenter for scouting activities and social services to be supported By wide range of well wishers and various bodies. The spirit of service among the members within the community is reaching out vigorously into the Variouspockets of community.
