Athens, Greece, 14 September 2015: His Highness the Aga Khan will deliver a Keynote Address at the Athens Democracy Forum on 15 September. The Forum, which is held on the occasion of the International Day of Democracy, brings together diplomats, scholars, corporate executives, politicians, thought-leaders, and journalists from around the world to discuss the state of liberal democracies and the major challenges they face in the world today.

The Forum was established by the International New York Times two years ago. This year speakers are expected to include the former Governor-General of Canada, The Right Honorable Adrienne Clarkson; Former Chief of the British Secret Intelligence Service, Sir Richard Dearlove; President of the New York Times, Stephen Dunbar-Johnson; Executive Head of the United Nations Democracy Fund, Annika Savill; and Mayor of Athens, Yorgos Kaminis.

About the Athens Democracy Forum
Two years ago the International New York Times established the ‘Athens Democracy Forum’ under the auspices of the United Nations Democracy Fund.
