With more numbers requiring heart surgery being recorded in the country, a team of doctors from the Aga Khan heart and cancer center have made a major breakthrough. The first case of a transcatheter valve replacement has been declared successful making Kenya the fourth country in Africa to initiate the complex heart surgery.
