The Aga Khan Museum hopes to highlight Islamic work in the art world, but also in the realms of science and intellectual discussions.
The museum houses objects collected by the Aga Khan’s family, a collection that includes objects dating back from the 8th through the 19th century and originating everywhere from Southeast Asia to Spain.
In addition to galleries, the museum features a theatre and classrooms. Outside there is a courtyard and the Aga Khan Park. Keeping things contemporary, the museum is also hosting artist’s residency.
