Science of Early Child Development: Social innovation research at colleges

Excerpt: Developed in 2005 in partnership with the University of Toronto and the Aga Khan Development Network, the Science of ECD web portal shares the latest scientific research on issues like brain development and literacy with front line child care providers.

“We created a terrific online learning resource that is making a real contribution to the quality of education and training of parents, social workers, early child educators, nurses and other professionals working on the front line with children and families,” explained Janet Jamieson, who leads the project for the college.
