The Graduate Tourism Program (Master of Tourism) of Monash University has been identified by the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and Aga Khan University (AKU) as one of the world’s leading programs focusing on tourism development in emerging economies.

Dr Jeff Jarvis had been invited to represent Monash alongside universities including; Harvard University, University of Surrey, University of Guelph and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the World Bank and industry representatives from Kenya and Tanzania to contribute to a thinking group considering post graduate tourism education in East Africa.
