The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) in conjunction with the Ismaili Council for the United Kingdom requests the pleasure of your company for a reception and book launch event. The event will launch the following IIS publications by Dr Reza Shah-Kazemi:
- Spiritual Quest: Reflections on Qur’anic Prayer According to the Teachings of Imam Ali – Provides a unique contemporary insight into the spiritual dynamics set in motion by the short Qur’anic chapters recited in their prayers by Muslims of all traditions.
- The Spirit of Tolerance in Islam – Mounts a concise argument that the Islamic faith is by nature tolerant, and that Islamic history has been characterised, in large part, by the practice of religious tolerance.
Dr Shah-Kazemi will deliver a lecture centred on these publications and respond to questions from the audience.
The event will take place on Thursday 26th June 2014 at the Ismaili Centre, 1 Cromwell Gardens, London SW7 2SL. A pre-event reception will be held at 7:45pm followed by the launch event at 8:15pm.
