In what is possibly a solution to address this lack of concern, the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, in the Humayun’s Tomb-Nizamuddin area, have coupled the conservation effort with major socio-economic development efforts involving local communities.
“Restoring the grandeur of over 30 monuments and planning a major site interpretation centre with the support of the ministry of tourism has significantly increased visitor interest and numbers, though parking infrastructure remains a challenge,” Ratish Nanda, project director at the Aga Khan Trust for Culture said
