VANCOUVER – Premier Christy Clark issued the following statement regarding the death of Roshan Thomas:
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Roshan Thomas after her senseless death.
“This was a woman who spoke eloquently of the need for change in Afghanistan but also translated those words into action. She used her skills as an optometrist and then reached out to develop an education program that helps students across the country.
“Through her work with the Agha Khan Development Network she made a direct and real difference to people. And she’s shared these lessons by direct example with her family and friends.
“Her legacy is the impact that one person with a passion can have on changing lives. It’s an example for all of us to heed.”
