Ayesha Landon-Browne: Carleton UN Society Returns from Model UN Assembly as Top Canadian TeamMembers of Carleton’s United Nations Society came home from the 25th annual McGill Model United Nations (McMUN) Assembly with five awards – making it the most successful Canadian team.

The winning members of the Carleton delegation are: Mary Werre, Ayesha Landon-Browne, Jordan Bootsma, Cole McGinn and Chris Tomalty.

McMUN is an annual student-run initiative and is the third largest Model UN conference in North America. The conference, which wrapped up last weekend, was hosted by McGill University in Montreal.

McGinn, who won the award for Outstanding Delegate, said the highlight of the conference was the “outstanding calibre of delegates from Carleton.” He added that the team from Carleton “represented the school with intelligence and integrity.”

“I’m always impressed by their dedication to improve their knowledge and broaden their horizons because that’s really what Model UN is all about,” said McGinn, “It’s not just about the awards and competition but It’s also about the education you get from the experience. It’s absolutely phenomenal.”
