Naguib Damji killed in Kenya mall terror attack honoured by donations made in his memoryVANCOUVER — The family of a Vancouver-area businessman killed during a terrorist attack on a Nairobi shopping mall are asking mourners to make donations to the Aga Khan Foundation, his favourite charity.

Naguib Damji was one of two Canadians killed when armed members of the Somali militant group al-Shabab stormed the Westgate mall on Saturday.

Hundreds of messages have been posted on social media sites for his three daughters and his wife, as friends and family remembered a man described as a kind person who was very close to his daughters.

  1. we convey sincerely our heartfelt condolences to the damji family for this brutal attack on mr. nagib damji. may mowla rest his soul in eternal peace ameen.we also do send our sympathy to his wife and two daughters; that all the canadian ismailis were and are still in mourning and pray to keep their families united and come together for support and guidance in this difficult time i’am very sure that those criminals masterminds will be brought to justice in the court of laws.we’re extremely sad and in sorrow to this tragic ady at the westgate mall in nairobi,kenya.
