My rotation at Mulago Hospital, Kampala, (Uganda,)will basically comprise of a hefty dose of infectious diseases (ID), accident and emergency (A&E), and a mixed urban and rural family medicine before heading down to Mbarara (Uganda)for a variety of rural hospitalist work. So we toured the requisite wards and wandered through pediatrics, A&E and up to the top of Mulago Hospital to take in the beautiful vista. Situated on a hill, Mulago looks down over the city and from our vantage point you could see the sister hill where Makerere Hospital sprawled out, dominating the landscape.
