Wow! Syrian artist Adib Fattal has to be congratulated for this drawing. His use of bright colours, elaborate details, and the fine hand used for his line drawings have created an endearing image that is a welcome reprieve. It was as if he plucked Kharadar Jamatkhana out of its dusty, chaotic surroundings in Karachi and placed it in a garden of paradise with a brilliant, animated spectrum of rainbow hues set under a star-studded sky. In this sense, he has captured what a jamatkhana means to an Ismaili.
