Sama-e Rast represents a mystical journey of man’s spiritual ascent through mind and love to self-discovery, performed in the dance style of Mugham. Mugham is the Sufi -shamanic art of spirit that exists in and out of the physical realm. Centuries ago, Mugham was the integrated practice that brought poetry, music, and dance together. The music was based on poetry meter, content and seven unique psychological moods.
