Ayaaz and Sheniz Kassam’s Noorish Eatery is a refreshing change of pace

Ayaaz and Sheniz Kassam's Noorish Eatery is a refreshing change of paceI love meat, I love cheese and milk, I love a fresh (white bread) baguette.

I have no quarrel with agri-business. Mass production provides incredible value for the food dollar. One can buy all one’s groceries from Superstore or Walmart, and still live an exceptionally healthy life. Ninety per cent of our health problems stem not from eating certain food groups, but from over-eating, too few vegetables and too much junk food.

That said, the strict vegetarian Noorish Conscious Eatery & Superfood Elixir Bar is supremely interesting and will fast become a dietary influence on the city.

The two main partners, the young adult brother/sister team of Ayaaz and Sheniz Kassam, unshakeably believe good health is about being as close to Mother Earth as possible.

Noorish goes way beyond vegetarian.

-snip- Owners Ayaaz and Sheniz, raised in Edmonton within the city’s Ismaili community, well-educated and fiercely intelligent, are all about enlightened capitalism.
