Turkish factory wins Aga Khan architecture award | Hurriyet Daily Turkey

The Aga Khan Award for Architecture, which rewards successful architectural designs in Muslim countries every three years, was shared by five projects this year, including the İpekyol Textile Factory in the northwestern province of Edirne. Winners were presented their prizes at Qatar’s Museum of Islamic Art from the Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslims.

The Aga Khan Award for Architecture is one of the world’s leading architecture awards and presented every three years since 1977 to contemporary and successful architectural designs in countries with high Muslim populations.
