Canadians everywhere were yearning for sweeping changes.
They wanted the change to start at the municipal level.
And many of them had their wishes fulfilled during Alberta’s and Ontario’s municipal elections.
The changes were massive and sweeping in some areas of Alberta and Ontario.
Nowhere was the change more visible than in Calgary, Canada’s third largest city.
Calgary elected Naheed Nenshi, an Ismaili Muslim and a member of the visible minority.
