The 43rd Annual Summer Students’ Research Day was held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the atrium of the Katz Group Centre for Pharmacy and Health Research. This event was an opportunity for more than 180 undergraduate students to showcase their work from the summer of 2010.

Jensen’s determination to attend the event was predominantly in order to display his findings, but he admits that winning one of the 12 prizes of $300 would have been a nice birthday present for his newborn. Two medical students, Kevin Whitlock and Alim Nagji, were also awarded all expense paid trips to Galveston, Texas, to attend the National Student Research Forum in April 2011.
