This was going to neighbour India’s golden opportunity to shine with the hosting of the Commonwealth Games, a much smaller event in comparison.
However, monsoon rains, car bombs, a collapsing pedestrian bridge and corrupt construction rackets with a host of other things greatly succeeded in dulling this world event.
