For the last three years, Zubair has worked as a teacher at The Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa, Kenya.
His journey to Kenya, the land of his birth, was one that he could not have contemplated while studying at the University of Alberta. After completing his BA (Honors) in English, Zubair continued his studies at the University of Calgary, where he earned his BEd in Secondary English Language Arts in 1997. For the next six years, he worked as a teacher with the Calgary Board of Education.
