Azim Keshavjee’s band, Comfortably Numb – Canada’s Pink Floyd Show will be performing live at Le FestiVoix de Trois-Rivières (Quebec, Canada). As one of Canada’s leading outdoor music festivals, concerts attract audiences of over 15, 000 people per show.
Comfortably Numb are extremely pleased to be gracing the Loto-Québec Main Stage at Le FestiVoix de Trois-Rivières on Saturday June 26th @ 9:30 pm as part of their “2010 – In The Flesh Tour”. The show is proudly presented by Loto-Québec.
Steve Hackett from Genesis, Kool & The Gang and Quebec’s The Lost Fingers will also be performing on the Main Stage during the week long festival.
Comfortably Numb’s entire concert will be filmed for promotional use and for a future concert DVD realse. “NumbWear” – Comfortably Numb’s official merchandise line will also be on sale at the show.
The band will be performing a very unique show called “In The Flesh”, recreating live legendary concerts by Pink Floyd & Rogers Waters. “This show is based on how Pink Floyd would perform these songs in concert during this era, and how they would interpret album versions of songs live in concert. Some versions of the songs were simply concept songs performed live that were re-worked and then recorded after the fact” explains Azim Keshavjee, lead guitarist for Comfortably Numb.
The 2010 In The Flesh Tour will feature the biggest sound, lighting and laser production the band has ever used. “The shows keep evolving year after year, adding more authenticity to re producing a live Pink Floyd show. More 3D animation developed by Jon Clouter at Ottawa based XYZ RGB, a lot more light and laser end points from Martin A/S, and additional sound effects rendered in quad sound by Azim’s production team” explains Todd Minicola, from Kingston, Ontario based NOC Visual Alternatives.
The bands success is a testament to the continuing interest in the music and legacy of Pink Floyd, and Comfortably Numb’s authentic re-creation of the Pink Floyd concert experience. Ottawa based Comfortably Numb has earned the much-deserved reputation as a “Leading Pink Floyd Tribute In The World” and have been endorsed by Brain Damage Online.
