The new Metro Paper Inc. plant will soon be hiring.
The Toronto-based firm, which recently completed the purchase of the 300,000-square-foot building from Pepsico Canada, has engineers and fitters working to install what will be MPI’s initial line of industrial/commercial toilet tissue.

Metro Paper is a family-owned business. Karim’s father, Nizar Jadavji was manufacturing macrame plant hangers for retailers in a Toronto suburb when a client approached him with a need for paper lunch bags. Nizar’s brother, Nurdin Jadavji, joined him in the venture in 1975. The company had already grown its physical plant to 100,000 square feet by 1979.
