The Aga Khan’s 6th Unity Games kicks off in Zanzibar

Zanzibar Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Information, Culture and Sports, Ali Juma Shamhuna, lights up torch to inaugurate the 6th Unity Games at Forodhani Garden in Zanzibar Friday april 02, 2010. The games have been organised by His Highness Prince Aga Khan, Shia Imam Ismaili Council for Tanzania, has brought together 12 cities, from Tanzania.

  1. Congratulation to the IVC members from Dar who gave out a wonderful service during the Unity Games. Without them the event would not have been such a success.
    I myself being a Zanzibarian, am proud to say that we could host such a big event during Easter.
    However, the organising commitee should be aware that July or December would be the appropriate months to hold such events to celebrate the occassion of the Birthday or Imamat Day of Our Beloved Mowla Bapa-Karim Agakhan.
