The Aga Khan Foundation USA’s Partnership Walk in Hoover on Saturday raised $310,000, far exceeding the $200,000 collected at a similar event last year, organizers said.
The event, which included live music, multicultural performances and a 30-minute fundraising walk, drew about 1,400 people to Veterans Park, down from about 1,700 last year, organizers said. The foundation’s mission is to fight global poverty.
