Hunza, October 6: Two young students Asghar and Ejaz Roomi from Sost Gojal started a peace walk on Monday from the Pak-China border Khunjerab Pass with the mission to spread the message of peace, unity and love across Paksitan. A large number of people from the near-by towns were also present in Khunjerab despite the pass has received 6 inches snow. This walk will be concluded in Karachi.
A huge crowd welcomed the walkers in Sost and Gircha on Monday. The crowd appreciated their mission for peace. Talking to this scribe, the walkers said that the people of Paksitan are very peaceful but different external elements are responsible for the present situation. They said through this walk they will spread the prime message of Islam which is peace.
This walk was symbolically inaugurated by Brig Nadeemul Hassan Tirmizi, director general of Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts during the Baba Ghundi Festival on October 01 but later postponed due to security reasons.
Ejaz Ali Rumi and Asghar Ali Rumi the members of Peace walk started their journey on 4th October from Khunjerav pass.They have concluded the first phase of the walk in Sost on 6th of this month, where a huge crowed including .some government officials and other supporter receive them at Khunjerav hotel Sost.Today they left for Hunza for the second phase where they will cover abot 100km from Sost to Hunza. the supporter of Ejaz and Asghar will come out on Karakurm high way to support then in different villages through out Hunza.. later then they will leave for Gilgit spreading the message of Love and Peace..
