  1. Magnificent pictures! The symbolism is illuminating; when the pure white light of the sun hits the rock crystal of the outer atrium the natural phenomena of light scattering, reflection and refraction breaks it up into its component colours of the visible spectrum: a fitting metaphor symbolising diversity, unity in diversity, pluralism and the search for a cosmopolitan ethic, among other things.

  2. I am not as articulate as Easy Nash, just want to salute [Chair of Imara (Sussex Drive) Ltd.] Zool Samji and his team in pulling off this magnificent project . I was in Ottawa a week or so ago, and when I mentioned I was an Ismaili/Aga Khan follower, EVERYONE knew who HE was. Mubaraki to all.

  3. Not to mention the rock crystal itself with its properties of translucency and transparency; it magnifies and spreads out these component colours of white light geometrically into a state of deep abundance. If you then look at the metaphor in reverse all this diversity goes back into the unified pure white light of the blazing sun, touching on the concepts of Unity and Oneness, the multiplicity of forms that make up the palpable universe, the concepts of Tawhid and Monoreality: a brilliant two-way metaphor.
